Bathroomware

First time bathroom renovators

  • Review your existing bathroom – is it a complete bathroom renovation or will a ‘makeover’ do the trick? Consider if you can retain the existing tile, toilet and bath. Significant functional and aesthetic improvements can be made by updating the tapware and basin, and by adding a new vanity, shaving cabinet and accessories.
  •

  • If a complete renovation is in order – start by determining the objectives for your bathroom, and most importantly who will be using it. For example families with very young children need a bath and high storage – where as families with older children usually prefer a walk-in shower. Look at opportunities to free up space and improve functionality... can the toilet be moved to an adjoining space?
  •

  • The most effective approach to a full bathroom renovation is to seek advice from a specialist, licensed bathroom renovation company. They will start with a drawing scaled to the space available, ensuring essential items are accommodated.
  •

  • When determining storage solutions – consider the available wall and floor space. If you have large wall space without windows – a shaving and linen cabinet combination is your answer.
  •

  • The first step in deciding on the vanity for you is to assess what width vanity your space can accommodate.
  •

  • For smaller bathrooms, wall mounted vanities help to create the illusion of space and maintain floor area.
  •

  • If you have a larger bathroom and require more storage, then choose a full height vanity that extends to the floor, and is mounted on either legs or a kick.
  •

  • Guest bathrooms provide an opportunity to focus on the aesthetic rather than planning for large storage requirements. For example a wall mounted CIBO Corian® Waterplane combined with a complementary shaving cabinet will deliver visual impact and adequate guest storage.
  •

  • Space is usually at a premium in En Suite bathrooms so consider wall hing basins or waterplanes - double basin options are great if two people are getting ready for the day at the same time most mornings. CIBO has a new range of solid surface integrated tops and basins at only 370mm deep, which are great for saving precious space.
  •

  • For Family bathrooms shaving cabinets provide a bathroom mirror solution and are a great way to keep items out of reach of little hands and in a convenient spot for adults . Vanities with rounded corners and rounded or fingerpull handles are ideal, the Fluid vanity is a great family bathroom option. As is the easy-cleaning Onda featuring a 15mm toughened glass integrated top/basin with rounded edges.
  •

  • Bring sophistication to a bathroom space by incorporating the elegant form of a CIBO oval solid surface vessel (Lavabo 25, 26 or 34) or for a more sleek look and feel a CIBO Corian® Waterplane.
  •

  • Bathrooms can be highly functional spaces, the Caldo Ensemble comprises a vanity, shaving cabinet with cupboard, linen cabinet and laundry box.
